Just some of the things I need to get off my chest.
I live here.

If I get another person who tells me we don't have Alligators or Crocs here in Florida I will pull my hair out, they say, you don't have swamps, you don't have Eagles, rattle snakes, you name it. Look folks if you don't live here and don't google it then please do not argue with me I have lived here over 25 years, had gators at my back door from the pond, big ones. We are tropical here, we have lizards, free flying parrots, and bigger bugs then you can guess. Algae covered trees and swamps. Forrests, beaches ofcouse, but more than most people know.  Flamingos do fly free here. Monkeys are loose here too, Bobcats, foxes, wolves, bear, and racoons, possums, and armadillo. Killer bees too. Spiders that would send northerners back home, yes they are big. I have taken many pictures recently and had them questioned, two were in my computer that were in a download from key west, they turned out not to be mine. Didn't know who downloaded them or how they got in the folder, and we saw this same type of thing in near Key West while hiking in the woods, I have several others but will not post. I go through the woods at Hillborough State Park and now that one came into question so no more posts at this time. I will post on my own site outside wincustomize for now. One was reposted by someone else. I give up. my membership will just be for my own satisfaction and not those who know nothing about Florida and how we live, and what animals, bugs, birds live here. If this seems harsh it's not. I just don't think people know what is here and what isn't. I have seen other items taken off the net and posted here as someones photos, not everything here is a photo taken by the person who posted them, and no credit was given to the person who took the photo. Thanks for looking at my photos anyway.

You covered most of what we've got but you missed a few of the invasive species......
we got snowbirds, tourists, furriners, yankees & damn yankees (gotta be a native to know the difference)

Well those two pictures you said you took and now say you don't know how they got into your folder where identical to two wall papers from National Geographic. I can post the links to them if you like.

By the way I do live in Florida and I know what we have here and don't have here. I have worked and played in the Keys for years. You uploaded worked that wasn't your own and even said you were there.

I don't understand why you have to make a fuss about it. You should have just left it alone. Now other people will know you uploaded work that wasn't yours.

As photos in ones photo gallery on personal site or uploaded as a wallpaper. If as a wall and you know where the photo came from then PM an admin or mod with a link to both here and org, and they will look into it.

I will post on my own site outside wincustomize for now.

Why not, as has been suggested in some of your other threads, post them to your personal site photo gallery.
Why is/has it seemingly been so important to you that they be uploaded as wallpapers.

Don't forget the rednecks !

I'm in Fla too and your right all those things are here and in abundance. Ive killed dozens and dozens of spiders literally as big as my hand.. and just yesterday a man got his arm about bitten off by an 11 foot alligator as he tried to pick his golf ball out of the water at a country club golf course pond...and sharks? Don't get me started

Gotta love the beaches and the babes tho !   (minus the jellyfish)

You Floridians haven't seen bitey things 'til you've seen ours. Here in Oz we got bitey things the size of miniature dinosaurs....and that's only the insects. And we got snakes that could drop a herd of elephants with just one bite. And then, of course, there's our arachnids....granted, some of 'em ain't as big as your spiders, but some of ours have necrotizing bites that'll cause affected limbs to drop off.

No shit....and that's only our lil critters. When yer gets to our biguns, like the sharks n' crocs, well even the military steers a wide berth of those, even in their tanks and subs, etc.

minus the jellyfish

Yeah, I know what you mean....some of ours 'd sink a small cruise ship, so the last thing yer wants is a sting from one of those.

One thing I didn't see mentioned was scorpions! Spent 12 years in Ft Lauderdale area and ran into lots of those! And those damn No See Em's bite the crap out of ya too!

One hasn't lived until they have ridden a motorcyle in Florida during love bug season... (without a face shield)!

The Monkeys you mention... Do you know the origin of them and the story behind it?
Those Monkeys are not native to Florida. They were imported and set loose at Silver Springs many many many years ago in an effort to attract tourists. The gent didn't think the monkeys would be able to swim from an area that he put them. He was wrong and the monkeys have spread throughout the state as a result.
I lived in Florida for a few years. I'll wait till the "golf cart" police come for me before I go back to live. I just can't deal with all of the "white knuckle grip" drivers going a blazing 30mph in a 55mph zone any longer.

I keep suggesting moving Bike Week to the third week of May or September but no one listens.........
